OpenGL confusion

I have a ATI Radeon card and don't know what is with this OpenGL thing. I try to open games and it says "ERROR: Can't open OpenGL!" Why can't my computer open it? If I need a newer version of OpenGL or OpenGL itself, where do I go to find it???

i would look for freeware tools which tests opengl. you could install the devleoper tools. they include opengl debugging tools. what OS are you using?
