ATI 3D Rage Pro

I have this video card and i installed Mesa
in file /etc/XF86config ,, Load "glx" and Load "dri"
so when i start some 3D game it is very very slow how can i fix it?? of if my card supported by dri??
i have XFree86 4.1.0

Its me again,,, and too when i do glxinfo it says that
Direct Rendering NO
how can i enable it??

Hi! Try lowering color bit depth in your configuration (from 24bpp to 16). You can done it manually editing XF86Config-4 or via Xconfigurator.
