GLUT:Fatal error

I compiled a simple program and received this:
GLUT: Fatal Error in simple: OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display: :0.0

Any ideas on what I need to do to fix this

It sounds like your X server is only using the default OpenGL driver (rather than the proper one for your card) Can you use OpenGL screensavers? (without them going very slowly or looking all weird) If not, this is the problem. Get the manufacturer's drivers for your distro from their site, and hopefully this should sort it out
