OpenGL with linux - what requirements ?

I have worked with OpenGL on NT. Is it possible to run run OpenGL code on a linux system. To do the same what are the additional requirements ?

Yes, it is possible.

You just need a recent version of X (say, 4.x) and a supported video card.
http://www.xfree86.org/ and http://dri.sourceforge.net/ have more info.

If you're an nvidia sort of person, visit their website to get the latest drivers for Linux for their cards.
