error running compiled code

I am trying to run my opengl program on HP visualage workstation... after i compiled and try to execute the compiled code it is given an error

"Error:could not open /tmp/pioContext"

What shuld i do to over come this

from the 'pio' sounds like the program tries to create and open a pipe but fails. The reason of the failure can be anything from a spelling error to bad permits, but I'd say nothing of that has anything to do with OpenGL itself.
