where is gluTesselator ?

I am porting my 3d viewer to linux.
It seems that the version
of GLU provided with red hat 7.1
doesn't contain the tesselation function.

do I need to use Mesa ?
or is there something else to do ?

What version of Mesa do you use?
I know that Mesa used a really old version of GLU before if that is what you mean? On the Mesa site can you download GLU 1.3

You do not need Mesa if you have a NVidia card but the Mesa project has some useful stuff.
