2D Graphics

How do do 2D Graphics ???
I DO NOT mean orthographic matrizes.
Can I do this with the KTX_buffer_region oder WGL_EXT_buffer_region extension ?

If you don't mean orthographic matrices, then what do you mean ?
I think everything in 2D can be done w/ orthographic matrices.
