GF 7950 GT: no GL extensions found..

Another strange problem.

Note: the code is perfectly fine, it's known to run well on thousands of users.

One of them reported this in the logs:

Vendor String: NVIDIA Corporation
Renderer String: GeForce 7950 GT/PCI/SSE2/3DNOW!
Version String: 2.0.3
Extensions: none found !!

CPU is an AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+
OS is Windows XP
Video card is an eVGA geforce 7950gt KO
Drivers are the most recent ones from nvidia.

Any idea ?

I have the same card, and a much smaller AMD processor. When I tried to install the newest (97.44) driver, it said that no compatible hardware found. So I had to fall back to the previous driver (93.71) which works fine.

Again, if you can report the driver version your life will be much simpler.

I saw the similar situation once: the drivers are installed, GL version reported is 2.0.1, no extensions whatsoever. Un-installing and reinstalling the driver fixed that.
