Is Kernighan / Ritchie book good for start with C ? Or is is too oldish... I have it in my bookshelf so I was just asking !

I'm a VB user and I hit the TOP... NO FURTHER OPENGL FOR ME UNDER THIS STINKY LANGUAGE... IT IS WROTTEN FROM THE START TO THE END !!! NO TIME TO TELL YOU ALL THE PROBLEMS...

why dont u go for C++ i think that would be very useful for further and Advance programming. as far as Ritchie 's book is concerned it is good but too old.
u would look for Hanly and Koffman 's book for ANSI C. that is very nice book if u are a new to C.
