Is it ok to do the following..
Enable Vertex, Color, and Texture Pointers
Set Pointers
Render some triangles with glDrawElements
Use glBegin( GL_TRIANGLE_STRIP ) <----
Use glVertex <----
Use glEnd() <----
Render some more triangles with glDrawElements
Disable Vertex, Color, and Texture Pointers
??
