Interpretation of statements

Hi all,
There are some statements which I don't quite understand and unable to interpret correctly for my Opengl assignment. Please help.

Statement 1 : What does it mean by "...invoking animation of the shape transformation from first surface to the second one and backward."

Statement 2 : "...the program renders more than 2 surfaces."

I don't get it more than you do, can you just post the whole assignement so that we know what you are suppose to do in general?
