Hi,

Diamond S540 - does anyone use this card ?
I'm having problems, OpenGL is too slow, does anyone know a way to fix this problem?

Thank you for the moment
Best regards

Diamond doesn't exactly offer the best OpenGL support. At least they didn't years ago, when I had one. Are you saying that you are writing programs that don't run fast, or are you complaining that your games, etc, don't run fast enough? This is a programming board so if it's your own programs, we can probably help a bit. I'm not sure how much can be done to speed up OpenGL for that card, though. http://www.opengl.org/discussion_boards/ubb/smile.gif If you're just looking to get Quake3, or other games running faster, we probably can't do much to help except to make sure you have the latest drivers, or get a better card. http://www.opengl.org/discussion_boards/ubb/smile.gif

I have that card, and it makes a excellent door stop!! That is the only good thing about it. The DX drivers are crap, and the opengl drivers are worse. Now that Diamond is not in the video card business, I would say get a geforce 2 MX, and be happy.
