glTranslate problem

Why doesn't glTranslate/glRotate take any effect on objects in a childwindow?
What have I forgot?

Hello

All windows have it's own gl-context (or whatever it's called). glTranslate and glRotate (as well as most, maybe all, other gl-functions) only affects the active gl-context (the active window that is).
