3ds loader

hi everybody
Wanna ask a question, how can i make a 3ds loader on an Irix machine? I cannot fined how 3ds object can be loaded in UNIX platform (rather than use display list).
Any idea will be a great help.

Hi !

On www.sourceforge.net (http://www.sourceforge.net) there is a 3DS library, I am not sure if it will compile on IRIX, but the code is pretty platform independent so it should be pretty simple to make it work...

exactly.

as michael said, there is a library called lib3ds which is nearly complete. there is a chance using the offical 3ds toolkit directly from discreet, but i don't think that's posix compatible. but lib3ds is.
