Problem displaying text using ATI graphics driver

Has anyone else had problems (i.e. crashes) when trying to display text in OpenGL using an ATI 3D RAGE LT PRO PCI graphics adapter on a laptop? Crashes occur on execution of glBitmap().

Are you sure you're using glBitmap correctly? Might be your program that fails, and not the driver.
