Switching to OpenGL from DarkBASIC

Hello everyone,
I am switching from DarkBASIC to OpenGL. I used DarkBASIC and got a feel for 3D now I want to move on to something more advanced. I have dabbled in C/C++ for about a year or a year and a half but nothing serious.
