Harware acceleration for picking.

Hi, I am new here and I have got a perfect newbie question for you.

Is the rendering in the selectionbuffer in select mode hardware accelerated or not?

That depends on the hardware you use. No consumer level card I know about has hardware support for the selection buffer. More professional cards might, but I don't know.
