Lights and my problem

Hello,

I have some problems with the Lights in OpenGL, they are really bad.

I put a light behind myself, but in front of my camera it is bright. Behind me it is dark (but the light should make it bright!!). How can I do this?

Maybe you're getting confused by which way Z actually goes in OpenGL??
