Hi ,
i need the sun to be in the center of my world and i want light to emit from it but i also want it lighted up.
I can emit light from the sun in a circular direction but the sun is not lighted up, it is dark. The light on the orbiting planets is good.
Can anybody tell me how i light up the sun.

I am currently using ambient lighting

Thanks

either put a light outside your sun,
or best, disable lighting when rendering your sun

Emit is NOT adding any light to scene, but just makes selected object brighter!!!!!! Check Red Book!!!!!!11

Read this to learn about defining emissive material properties:

Hope that helps.
