Does the stencil buffer have still 8 bits in the NV40 ?

I don't think anyone knows except NVIDIA. It'll certainly have at least 8 bits and probably not more.
Are you worried about overflow?

Even with stencil_wrap some shadows can disapear (Example: 0 + 256 - 1 = 0)
Hi dudes....Talking about stencil buffer and the "shadow game". I've read and heard that it is possible to create shadows with the stencil. I would like to know the explanation. How and why?
