How can i produce shadow of objects in opengl?

In the same way that you use static lighting with lightmaps, only have a dark lightmap and it will make a shadow. You probably won't know what static lightmapping is since you asked this question so have a look at www.flipcode.com/tutorials/tut_lightmaps (http://www.flipcode.com/tutorials/tut_lightmaps)

shadows can be very complex... in the super bible there is an example which shows a piece of code that can produce a shadow triangle given a light, a lit triangle, and a plane where the shadow is to be cast upon.. There are other ways to get shadows like buffers and stuff...
