What is the difference between borland and microsoft compilers, and how/can I convert the code? Also, borland's free compiler will compile windows, and opengl programs, (using: bcc32 -tW program) but the programs compiled never work the way they are suposed to, or have an illigle error when they end... does anyone know how to fix this?!?!

I guess you mean the floating point exceptions. The default behaviour for Borland compilers is not to mask them like other compilers do. Use this:
#ifdef __BORLANDC__
#include <float.h>
_control87(MCW_EM,MCW_EM);
#endif

If you compile GLUT yourself will it do the above for you.
