Front and Back Face???

When i draw a triangle, what is it that determines the front and back face?
Is it the normal? i.e. the direction of the normal = front face
or is it the order that i define the verticies of the triangle?

Hi,

If you define counterclockwise your polygons, you'll have front faces, else you´ll have back faces. In front faces, normals point to you.
