Simple models

Are there any downloadable programs for the design, editing and viewing of models?

I saw a few references to a program called "3d explorer" but I can't find it anywhere. http://www.opengl.org/discussion_boards/ubb/frown.gif

I am interesed in creating very simple models with triangle meshes (I hope i'm using the correct terminology here) like:
1.03 -1 -1 -1.07 -1 1 -1.09 1 -1
or with color:
-1 0.10 0.00 0.10 0.20 0.00 0.30 1 0.00 .8f .3f .3f .8f .3f .3f .8f .3f .3f

There are many. Use google to search for "3D free modeller".

I don't know how good it is, and I've never used it, but it is a start. http://www.anim8or.com/ I don't know what kind of formats it supports as for file types, if any, but, there are probably many more out there.

Milkshape is prolly your best bet for what you're looking for. fast, cheap and great for low-poly models. also, for anyone looking to write plugins for Milkshape, I've made a Milkshape Plugin AppWizard for Visual C++. you can download it [ here (http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/forum/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=8762) ]
