OpenGL confrences/ classes?

Greetings!
Does anyone know if SGI, or anyone for that matter, plan on having an OpenGL confrence? I am looking for taking a few advanced classes on OpenGL, but I don't really know where to go (Many colleges in my area don't touch openGL as a grad cource). If anyone knows where openGL classes are held or if a confrence is planned please let me know!
