opengl is not open source. what opengl stands 4 is OPEN GRAPHICS LIB

Mesa is an open source software implementation of OpenGL, if you want to look at source code you will have to use that (www.mesa3d.org I think) or get the OpenGL sample implementation source code from SGI's website.
