Problem with NeHe's tutorial

I am using VC++ 6.0 and on the tutorial with the rotating triangle and square the code is right I went over it about 50 times and nothing is wrong but the square disappears. Then I did the 3D rotating triangle and cube and it only shows 2 of the triangle faces and the cube is still gone. anyone else had this problem?

I would suggest downloading the source from the site and doing a diff against it... see if you mistyped anything you overlooked.
