OpenGL manual for starters

I have just started with openGL, and am looking for a good manual / tutorial
kindly suggest a link , also some e-book if available.

Have you cheked out openGL redbook? You can find it in the documentation section of this site. It's about 600 pages long with code samples and you can download it in PDF format. Quite a good starting point if you can afford downloading about 7 mbytes! Anyway it's also a good reference book, you might find it useful soon!
