3D Font Resources as .3ds ?

Hi,

i searched the web for some 3D Fonts. As i use Java and LWJGL bindings it is difficult to extrude a Font in a Crossplattform way. Did someone knows websites were i can download some .3ds fonts ?

there are some tools that can fonts in 3ds format. you can try Anim8or. try this link (http://www.anim8or.com/release_notes/index.html#extruding_text) .

but extruding a shape is no problem. there are no special plattform dependend tasks. getting the font outline seems to be a little harder. freetype is crossplattform, but i dont know for sure if there exist java bindings.
