blah blah yada yada same prob
got windos xp, a pent.3 and a ****ty compag presario 5000nt comp...any advice?
i tried dl'ing opengl and its till wouldnt work =~(

Did you actually read any of the other posts? Did you read that OpenGL support is delivered with the drivers for your graphics card? You need to download the latest drivers from Compaq, or the reference driver from the manufacturer of your video card.

Also, did your computer come with Windows XP or did you upgrade it? If you upgraded it from a previous OS, that has been shown to frequently cause problems.

yea i read the others and tried some of their ideas
didnt work....
and i upgrade the windows xp

but i was able to q3 and cs before...

Have you updated the drivers for your graphics card? Do you know what graphics card you have?

Ahh... so you had 98, you upgraded to XP and your games broke.... we have a winner!

When you do the upgrade to XP, you need to go get the XP versions of the drivers for all your hardware, especially fancy new hardware. XP will not install all the functionality.

Tell us what the VERY FIRST text printed out by your system in when it boots. That's usually the graphics card make & model and we can use that to tell you where to download your XP drivers.
