Crashing problems

Hi, I wil enjoy if someone could help me...
I'm on a 950 amd t-bird (athlon), mb asus, voodoo5 agp, Windows ME... I'm always crashing entering a game, like Half-Life, NOLF, Project IGI, I'm running these games on opengl... but if i play H-L for example
in software.. all is correct... i know that its not my sound card (i was thinking of this before)... I installed everything to update, 3dfx drivers, via 4-1, glsetup, agp4.04... I need help, plz

Have you tried installing the VIA 4-in-1
with the AGP set to standard and not Turbo? Try it, I set my upgrade to standard and all my OpenGl games came to life,

What a difference !!! I was having no luck with ANY OpenGL games and D3D as a matter of fact. I usually installed via in turbo mode. I know I've read sometime ago on using the standard mode but nt tried it. Now all games working pefectly. What a treat !
