Help!

I have problems in GENERAL with my normal settings:

AMD K62 processor, 350 mHz
ATI Xpert 98 (RAGE PRO TUBRO AGP 2x)
258 MB of SDRAM

Now...

Whenever I try to use OpenGL or Direct3D on Half-Life, it always freezes up. ALWAYS. I don't understand what's going on and I frequently have to play with a 5 fps frame-rate. Please help me!!!! *wail*

Sorry to say this but it sounds like u're memory mate
i wonder if it's made up of a few slabs of SD one old and one new
SD ram has changed alot over the last couple of years and alot of the PC100 people started using on 100meg front side busses expirience problems
if u have an old one and a new slab. pop out the old one for a time and just run it on the new one at 128 meg or what ever that leaves u left.
U may be surprised at the difference this will make.
Sorry if this dosent help u much but i have seen this happen before.
