windows xp professional boot up disk

I need to format my hard drive and I am giving up on trying to figure out why my floppy drive won't work so I was wondering if anyone knows if you can download the boot up disks to a cd rom instead of the 6 floppy disks? I want to make sure it will work before I decide to wipe it all out and not be able to put windows back on. I have an average computer knowledge base, so please don't get too technical if you respond... thanks a bunch!

There is no need to generate bootdisks you can boot directly from XP CD.

Burning the bootdisks would be illegal anyway.

But remember this is an OpenGL forum, next time you better ask questions like this in a Windows XP related forum.
